Our Story
It began as a fascination with history - Europe's, and Italy's most of all. The dynasties and the republics, the wars survived, the art that outlasted the empires that commissioned it. That was the pull that first drew us across the ocean.
Then it became about the time itself. Weeks of wandering through landscapes and cities and centuries, and we found we couldn't get any of it out of our minds. We flew home asking a single question: what could we build that would make this place a lasting part of our lives?
We reached for the obvious answer: beautiful Italian goods, leather and silk and jewelry, carried home to America. But when the jetlag passed, the products were never really the point.
The point was the people. We met designers and makers who took us in on the first day like family. We sat at their tables. We talked about children and craftsmanship and pride, about work poured out across generations. Their heritage and their dedication humbled us. Most of all, it was their familial warmth. An easy, genuine welcome that moved me in a way we never expected.
Those relationships became Pareto. They are still our foundation and the truest driver of everything we've built. And our hope runs in both directions: that our customers carry home something with soul, and that every maker who trusts us rises alongside us, finding real growth and real success of their own.
